I'm totally not religious but for me it's My sweet lord by George Harrison because it reminds me of my childhood.
Josh Groban - You raise me up - Played at my dads funeral as one of his fave songs and I find it very moving, it never used to but it now brings a tear to my eye as I associate it with my Dad's funeral, but still love the song............I'll have a think about my all time fave song on a positive Josh Groban - You Raise Me Up (Video)
this always makes me feel good.... <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sTJ7AzBIJoI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> this one because JC is cool http://youtu.be/SmVAWKfJ4Go
This was'nt her own song, but she made it better Roberta Flack "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" (1972)
This is my favourite song: Eagles - Hotel California Also, I love Pachebel's Canon in D (mostly known as the wedding song now ) and saw this kid on Rude Tube playing it on electric guitar, it's awesome! guitar
poptop - great song choice - this is a great cover of the song Thunder Road - Frank Turner my fav song of all time (to date) is The Beatles- A Day in the Life
Got loads of favourite songs. But I guess the best is the one I'd want to be played at my funeral - American Trilogy by Elvis Presley (my hero since I discovered him at the age of 6 in 1975). The song's one he often sang live in the '70s. The '72 Madison Square Gardens version is the best. I'd want the volume turned right up on mega speakers, so that it shakes the church's foundations.
Don't have one fave song, depends on mood, location etc. I do always get emotional to 'Knights of Cydonia', sends a real shiver down my spine thinking about hearing it played at the O2. Also feel the same way about 'God is a DJ' and 'Everlong'.
1 - Jimmy Eat World - The Middle 2 - The Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star 3 - John and Vangelis - I'll Find My Way Home No apologies or excuses - you like what you like music wise!
