Bit more done tonight. Holes drilled and Bulkhead fittings tigersealed in and cables threaded through. Just need to check the battery is connected uo and then I can do the fianl connection. I have put my sun canopy over the panels as to connect them up they cannot be under load.
Meter fitted now First trip away this weekend so will be interesting to see how the solar panels cope with just being glued on to the roof!!
Rear mudflap fitted thanks to @lhu1281 for the brackets. Also fitted rear gravel guard which I have had in the garage for at least 4 years!!!
I glued mine with tiger seal, just a thin band around the perimeter about 15-20mm in. So far so good, I hit 85mph down a hill today and it's still there.
Currently overcast and drizzling, getting 1.3A from the solar panels. More than enough for my fridge and led lights and radio
I've just bought a Westy, maybe gonna chop the pop top onto my tin top, it's got a solar panel filling the roof rack at the front of the roof, do I need to buy stuff to make it work ?
Yes probably, depends what is in the westy already, might have the charge controller etc in the westy.
