I was looking through a whole load of books and pamphlets in a second hand book shop and i came across a booklet on a what's known as a Queen Elizabeth Grammar School ...or as QEGS as it headed . there is quite a handful of these old schools dotted around the UK . However ..this particular QEGS school was near Wakefield and whilst browsing through it came across a cricket team dating 1875 . The guys were all numbered, and at the side of the picture was a write up as to what happened to them in there life . This particular bloke called Mr B Glover was a Mungo manufacturer in Osset . I thought what the hell is a Mungo manufacturer , looked up on google and it turns out that Mungo and shoddy are basically the same thing or shodders . They were old recycled rag manufactures . Also a Mungo is a prehistoric man found in Australia. You only have to look at Ray Dorset ...Mungo Jerry and he fits both bills .
