  1. Still planning my big steering jubilee.

If replacing the steering damper, is it normal practise to replace the rubber bush on the nut too? Or only if old one is falling apart?

    Track rods....
Always One adjustable and one fixed?
Matter which side they go on?

  2. The damper should come with bushes in place, as I recall.

  3. Ah. It's just that the usual shops sell the bush as an individual part

  4. To add to ur steering iv recently done all of mine (technically it was @davidoft and @pkrboo ) but I fitted and anti roll bar not had a knock or a bang at all since and sooo much smoother in the corners

  5. Think I already have front arb

Do they wear out/get floppy over time though?

Any more ideas on this too?

  6. The bushes may wear out, but probably not. Get under the van and swing on it. It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.

You may find the ARB has snapped , mine went at one end by the rubber bush after whacking too many sleeping policemen. Better without it if lowered.

You can have two adjustable steering links - it makes it easier to line up the centre point (with the slightly greater resistance to turning ..) of the steering box with straight ahead. And for tyre places to manage to properly align the steering too.
