  3. I read somewhere that it was the slight mist of oil on the outside of the pipeshoses cause it to break down quicker. Need to do an experiment with a piece of hose sealed in a plastic baggy and other section wiped with oil then sealed in a baggy.
     
  4. Yes that certainly looks like them! I couldn't find them when I looked on the heritage site. So now I also know that I have a twin solex too....I'm still discovering what is original and what has been replaced either during 40 years in Australia or by the restoration guy here.

  5. Mine haven't even lasted that long on my steering rods! I'm going to replace the boots if I could find out where to get them from and the right ones.
