  1. anyone have a monza 4 tip exhaust system on a californian bus (triangler exhaust flanges) if not and you are still running on us spec emmision restricted exhaust system GET IT OFF it may have a catalytic converter on and all the smog control gear ect this will dramatically restrict horses rearing to get out and push up your mpg. If your bus is jan 75 or older you wont need a emission test on mot so you can remove the lot and fit a MONZA 4 TIP us spec exhaust system and TRIPLE horse power. Its worked for me and 0-60mph in 14 seconds looks stunning sounds great and its not a over powering sound. 2 sets of twin chrome pipes looks stunning and gets people talking! If you are one for keep things original well theres not much choice on a us spec exhaust system as america has so many restrictions on emissions thats why they are all 2ltr fuel injected engines out there but over here that cat aint going to save the world. Critacise me by all means but the outcome for me is substantial and im glad I did the upgrade 20mpg also risen to 24-26

  2. So, given that a 2 litre's about 75hp, that'll give you 225 horsepower...amazing! I surprised no-one's tried this before ;)

Ps. New Monza's are Marmitee. If you fitted it yesterday, it'll be rusty by tomorrow.

I think I'll report the post for blatant advertising. Then again, maybe he's for real.

It's funny how many people change an old knackered VW part that's well beyond service with a new aftermarket part, which being new works ok. They then draw the wierd conclusion that the aftermarket part is better than the VW part - an "upgrade". Course it's better - you replaced the VW part because it was completely shagged.

Ive got FI fitted to my '77 bus along with the cat coverter and all of the correct US (CA) spec emissions gubbins & regularly get 25+ mpg & thats trying to keep pace with Woody & Lowie..pretty good going & for that reason I'm out, I'll stick with stock thx
