hi there apparenty i have to sell the mk1 gti its not practical (says wife) if anyoneones intrested i will post pics and spec details in short its a mars red gti 1980 w reg had it 4 year or so had a respray then and now its showing signs of rust and bubbles around arches and bottem of doors but nowt that cant be fixed the engines a 1900 with a kent cam in goes really well heads had work but it burns a bit of oil (valve seals ) 7 mot and short tax original but worn redstrip interior will be sad to see it go but guess ive grown out of it 8) let use know if anyone intrested regards kev

the borbets in the last pic have gone now and its running on a set of black and silver spoked rims cant remember the make

yeah the interior is ok for year drivers bolster wear but on the whole good condition as it is 30 year old lol! by no means mint the boot is solid no rot or rust underside is good will post more pics asap would really like to do all the little jobs on it but was just putting the feelers out really all welcome to have a look or give us some idea wot its worth needs a new clutch plate
in short the things to do list are clutch arches need tidyin think the sunroof cable has snapped not had time to look (but still opens by hand) few patches to weld on floor very minor (may get round to doing ) bit luppy from cold but once warm ticks and runs great just been to volksworld in it 450 mile round trip and scotland few months ago
ntot even had time to clean the car up used reg so reliable just needs a good tidy up all round oh and some decent alloys putting on will transform the car no end if i had the cash it would be on 13s han 14 15 and 13s on it but wish id never sold the 13s lol
there not rot of this gti just surfice rust and age marks only selling as i have no cash at mo and may be getting laaid off this week open to offers and veiwing recomended
well ive run the golf again for the summer had fun fixed the clutch and done a bit of work on it put it up on ebay a few times but most ive been offered is 1700 if there anyone one here who fancies it then let me know will mot it for the rite price tax just out today and the last time i drove it was last month i still start it up good solid gti which wont lose money thanks
