My apologies everyone, I've been missing the last couple of days. We were hit by a mini hurricane on Saturday night & I've been flat out with SES for the past 40 hours This is a news video to give you an idea of the destruction in town, thankfully no serious injuries http://video.au.msn.com/watch/video/nsw-devastated-by-wild-weather/x3l22gv Hopefully the photos from the local paper will also give you an idea of the destruction http://www.illawarramercury.com.au/...m-leaves-path-of-destruction-in-kiama/?cs=298 We have limited telephone & interweb connection so I may disappear at any moment. We're all OK
Better get your trailer filled with some of that lovely firewood. It may look bad but our English weather is ALWAYS worst.
Jeez Don. Looks pretty bad, you certainly have had some extreme weather over the last few months. Bet you can't wait to come over here now.
Glad you are ok! Well done on your good work helping and finding the time to post on here! Thats dedication for you! Was the hurricane forecast or did it come without warning? Not that you can do anything if you know it may happen.
HOLY S#%T, That looks terrible , hope you are all well and safe, makes our damp summer look a bit silly. No shortage of firewood now.
Thats a helluva storm! I'm glad our weather (at least for the most part) isn't quite so mental! I notice MOST of the brick built structures survived reasonably intact is time for tougher building regs down there?
Gulp! - glad you're okay. My mums off to Perth on Friday and then over to NSW in three weeks time visiting relatives. i'll warn her to take an umbrella.
Sorry Don, it's all my fault. Our youngest daughter lands in Sydney, a few hours later this happened. She is a walking disaster area. Good news is she's headed up North to Cairns yesterday.
