Misheard song lyrics.

Right, a few years ago I bought THE BEST OF R.E.M (I know, it's mostly crap) 'cos I really like that song with the chorus that goes,
"Come and eat your bacon up,
come and eat your bacon up,
come and eat your bacon up oooo."
Yesterday I was playing it again and decided to search the correct lyrics. Apparently it's
"Call me when you try and wake her up."
Eh? I think my version's better, it's certainly easier to say/sing.

Ha! Funny because my bro swore blind the lyric was 'calling Cheryl Baker up'.
When I said it wasn't he tried to convince me it was and that the names of the other Bucks Fizz members were included in the song lyrics

 

I give you anything, anything at all from Dexys Midnight Runners....undoubtedly a genius writer, Kevin Rowlands pronounciation makes all their songs hard to decipher.

A recent one is that song by Adele 'when we were young'. The background vocal sounds like it's saying "inebriate". Heard Ken Bruce mention it as well, so it's not just me
