After just reading the BBC web site I came across this story. Such as shame when people lose there money in this way. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-49580080
Wow I do feel sorry for the people who have paid money for buses that they never got, but they have also been naive!
Damn that’s sad. It does amaze me that folk pay up front though! It’s just far too risky giving someone £10k and hoping for the best..
This was probably a half-baked but genuine business idea that went wrong through over optimism by all concerned. The owner probably started off in the days when all kinds of stuff in SA was for the taking post end of apartheid days.. yachts belonging to ex-pats were going for £10k or marina bills ... then discovered it was going to cost more than £10k to fix and ship the buses that turned out to be bigger rotboxes than he expected, so he ducked and ran..
Stupid people. Same as people who buy new build houses off plan before they are built. No sympathy for them.
She bought it because of the guys smile. @Poptop2 bought a van in a hedge because the lady selling it was a comely sort...
She gave him £10k and then the other half ??? Why not go and see one and buy it if you have the dosh ! Bit silly really !
If I still had another half I wouldn’t think twice before I handed her and £10k over for a decent bay. I’d keep the £10k back until delivery though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
