Middle Air Hose

  1. Hi
I need to replace the 55mm air hose that is on the under side of the 1973 bus just level with the front of the sliding door opening. It's about 80cm long and loops back on it self.
I am after something stronger than the expandable aluminum hose, which comes apart if you stretch it out.
Phoned JK and heritage but no joy, which is weird as this most need replacing on loads of vans
I've got to take the belly pan off to get to one end so only what to do once.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

  2. If the original hose is in good shape, I'd clean it up and keep it. It's likely to be plastic-coated with a layer of foil insulation inside. Better than anything you can buy.

  3. im gonna see... ''Middle air hose'' at gladsto this weekend...:D

  4. Thanks.
The Original hose broke up into ever smaller sections as I taped it up.

I got some "55mm APK Ducting" from a marine heating place.

Just the ticket, hot air and water proof. Its flexible but not stretchy so alot stronger.
    Sounds like toilet roll.
