Just fitting my new master cylinder and new brake lines front and back, these have been off for a few years so is there a set length for the push rod and does it matter which way round the brake lines go into the master cylinder. It a 73 model.
    Thanks for looking

  2. Adjust the pushrod so that there's about a mm free play at the pedal before you feel it hit the pushrod. Too tight, and your brakes may not release properly.

If you're using the existing hard lines, they go back in as they were with the old m/c.

@snotty ok on the pushrod, iv had no brake lines for a few years whilst on restoration so does the fronts go to the rear or front of the cylinder (push rod end ) or doesnt it matter

It matters - front brakes to rear port on the master cylinder.
