    Nope steel mate your not supposed to weld galvanised.
    Although the hold down brackets I made are galvanised and I did weld a nut onto them.

Yes, I remember the old heavy gauge galvanised steel conduit had a very durable galv finish, but these days conduit seems to be made of cheese, with a light galv dip that peels off when you cut a thread on it. I'm sure what you've used will be fine provided you've got plenty of support feet and aren't planning to put one of those daft roof tents up top.

    As cool as that is, you'd expect a decorator would want to present a more polished appearance!
