Made me laugh...

  1. A city councilman in Utah , Mark Easton, had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and built a new home. The new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.
The new neighbor had to drop the roof line, at great expense.
Recently, Mark Easton called the city, and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his home. Mark didn’t like the look of these vents and asked the city to investigate.
When they went to Mark’s home to see what the vents looked like, this is what they found…
The City Council said the vents can stay since there is no ordinances referring to shutter design.

  4. reminds me of years ago... when we own the 2 middle cottages in a row of 4. my dad owned.
the new owners on the end did not like me using there entrance as a right of way...
so one day when he had a go about it. and i said i sleep at no 3 at my grans.. it called me a liar, so when i reeled off a lot of sentances i heared him having with is misus in bed he soon shut the f@@@ up.
and after another incident involving his dad, and solicitors letters failed, they sold up and moved...

    nowt worst then bad neighbours..

I like that. He looks like one of those that would annoy doesn't he. I live in a block with a couple that think they rule the place. A strong worded but expletive free letter has severed the 12 year relationship that we had.

  6. :)) nice one....i often feel like doing something like that on the other side of my fence, them next door always moaning about the camper ::)

  9. A couple of years ago I took my garage door off and replaced it with a big double wooden doors, I live in an area where the garage doors are the same colour, front doors and windows should be but because we bought the freehold no covenants cover us, I had a few complaints about the door before I had chance to paint it form the oldies opposite us so I sent a message back via the local gobbie person that I will paint me door pink with yellow spots if anybody elese complains after pointing out that I own the freehold. The look of shock on their face wish I had a camera with me then.
To my disappointment the complaints stopped was looking forward to that colour scheme. Now it's blue and matching they comment how nice it looks.
