Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Barneyrubble, Oct 8, 2012.

  1. Are lorries required to have more lights these days . Whilst cruising the motorways at night recently i am astounded as to the quantity of lights they adorn  its more like blackpool illuminations coming towards you and going away from you, call me an old fart ::) but much as some look very pretty ,ive found them very distracting. I havnt got any pictures but what do you think, we are also starting to get it on some high end cars ,is this the new bedazzled of the future and does it come from essex ?? ;D 8) 8)

  7. I'm told that the four coloured lights over the cab top, seen on some european cross channel traffic, has some significance when operated in a particular sequence. Hello sailor or how much, perhaps? :)) Shan't respond to your invited appellation...pot kettle or suchlike. ;D

Reminds me of a old mate who worked on wagons with me - a Scotsman called Willy Mac , he had a thing for lights on his rig and got the fitter to put a new wiring circuit on his battery to take all the lights he kept sticking on his trailer , anyhow he was 6' 6" and built like a brick s - house and i nicknamed him twinkle ( that went down well ) but it stuck .

One morning we were sat having a brew before we set off and another mate Steve came in sat down took a swig from his cuppa and casually remarked " i think your Rigs on fire Twinkle " and carried on drinking his tea , Twinkle just nodded and smiled , then it dawned on him what Steve had just said , i have never seen a face of sheer panic like it - and then 18 stone of very panicky Scotsman covered fifty yards faster than Ben Johnson -- luckily it was soon out , it was the lights that had caused it and the gaffer made him take them off .
