Little gear wanted out of a speedo

Hi,

I am after the little plastic cog which goes on the end of the metal shaft which goes through the dials with the mileage reading on from my LHD late bay 1972.

Hope that makes sense?

Has anyone got one?

 

Can you post up a pic of the part. I think I have some old speedo's in my garage. I may have the part you need.

cheers Many projects, if you look at my recent post in the mech and tech section titled 'speedo now apart - is something missing?' I have copied a photo in there I found on the net - I am after the little white cog which goes on the end of the metal shaft going through the dials with the numbers on.

Whereabouts in the Midlands are you - i live in Solihull but work in Oldbury.

I have checked my old speedo boxes and all mine are old beetle ones, which have a slightly different set up.

Mine was cracked when I bought my van. I fixed it using superglue and a little cotton thread.
