My mrs loved her K11 snotmobile ( it was green the kids called it that ) great car. Unfortunately she decided to upgrade to the newer K12 after having the snotmobile for 10 years or so, that was a mistake
I’ve known many K12 owners regret their purchase and suffer cam chain stretching with big repair bills. IMHO the K12 looked more like a ‘jelly mould’ than the K11.

First car: tomato red gt beetle Second: 72/3 bay window Still own both. There was a Peugeot 205 in there somewhere that I used to run in the winter when I was precious about the bug. I gifted it to a student, hated the bloody thing, no character.
It's the shape. The back loading area on the two door makes it look like an old fashioned bread van. The term gets used a lot there's even an old ferrari that got nicknamed a breadvan
And as an extra aside, the polo bread van fuel filler cap is the only lockable one I found that fits a crossover T2 fuel filler with a flap!
I ordered and returned so many and eventually found a bread van one in some grubby bits and it fitted! I had to abandon it though because the key/lock mechanism wasn’t always reliable :/ It’s back in a grubby bits box somewhere
On the old forum version 2 I think someone posted the info on finding a suitable lock for the filler flap models. was it you?
