Light flashing when indicating....

Just driving my bus home & when I went to indicate the light to the left of the main beam came on (red flashing light) at the same time as the indicator.

Does anyone know what this is & why this was doing it? first time this has happened

 

possibly light 'bleeding through' the join in the display, mine does it (dimly) too.

 

Odd as it hasn't happened before...

 

Global warming?

 

suppose could be dodgy connections on the binacle then, clean and refit wires or take the bulb out!

 

Mine was the same although faintly but after fitting and refitting the dash many times I can't say I've seen it since.

I haven't looked to be honest

 

sounds like a bad earth connection,

is it happening just in one light cluster or both?

I have the same problem - am going to brave the back of the instrument panel this weekend and will let you know if I find a solution ...
