LHD Master Brake Cylinder on A RHD 72

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by PaulieO, Jul 7, 2023.

  1. Hi, Just ordered from JustKampers a LHD master brake cylinder for my RHD 72 Bus, anyone used one before and any tips on changing the pipes to fit? is the front line is for the rear and the rear line is for the front brakes? Any help or advice would be appreciated... Cheers

I didn't know there was a difference between LHD and RHD master cylinders, what's the part number? Yes, front port for rear brakes, rear port for the front.

The non-servo ones are in a fairly tight spot, I think you may struggle using the wrong one.

At least they had the decency to warn you… if you order a fluid resevoir, you get a LHD drive one, so the inlet ends up jammed into a corner, so you can’t get the filler pipe on..

  5. ^this. If the positioning of the "outside" nut is the same as the RHDs, you may have to Dremel it off. It's right up against the body pressing.
