I have got a relay for charging my leisure battery when driving if i get to site and find my propex drains it to quick can i just plug in my normal battery charger into my hookup.?
i knew you would come to my rescue matty, i was going to ask you but thought you may not be on cheers. so where do i benefit if i buy a c-tech?
if you can strech to it this is very good http://www.ctekchargers.co.uk/ctek-mxs-70.php or the 5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-CTE-MX...?ie=UTF8&qid=1368905510&sr=8-2&keywords=MXS 7 They are good as they are capable of reviving a battery and charging it in a way that insures it fully charged
If you are trying to use the heater while plugged into the hookup power , then you will need something a bit beefier and a bit different. Those chargers are for trickle charging batteries when they are not being drained by other loads. If you start making the battery voltage drop by using it while its charging, some chargers will get confused and shut off because it has taken more than 24 hours to charge the battery without the voltage increasing. What you need is is a battery charger that puts out more current than the typical combined drain of all of your kit so the battery keeps on charging up. Guessing something like a 10A charger or larger might be better
the propex lasted over night and day and i never charged it so i could charge when its off as when we drive it charges too, am i right ?
the 5 will be fine its what i have in my own van and it runs everything fine Mikedjames is right about some of the cheep ones like ring but the ctex ones are designed for this type of use
