I've just used the link to find a great looking site in winsford, Cheshire for a long weekend next weekend. Sweet. Can't wait. 3 more nights in the van.
A bit expensive but Ashbourne is a nice little town. We spent our first night in the van at a site there

I'm surprised you didn't have to book for 3 nights - seems to be usual for BH weekends. And yes, £33 is quite a lot, but it's caravan club and peak time.
we have a 6 month old so hook up is needed really, but im not fussed about it, im just so excited to be getting into the country and away from my bloody work, money well spent IMHO Im just happy I found somewhere, and its next the Carsington Water centre so thats worth a visit
Oh ooo Brucies going to Kirk Ireton - be careful in the Barley Mow, the ale in there used to be wicked, a proper pub with all the beer served from jugs, good stuff mind
Ive not been for a few years - it used to have a flagstone floor, wooden benches - funnily enough that's about all I do remember, we used to head up that way occaisionally on a Friday night as it was only 15 mins from Crich
