My T2 has a 1700 type 4 engine, should I be adding anything to the fuel as it is designed to run on leaded?, or are they fine on unleaded? I've done lots of research on the internet and see so many conflicting stories. Help would be appreciated
Run it on the cheapest unleaded you can find. No need for additives. You've got hardened steel valve seats. The engine will be fine.
Is it a bus engine or a 914? If its a 914 it will have the higher compression so try some 99 high octane juice from Tesco. They love it, you'll notice the difference straight away.
