lazy Clutch pedal

Hi all Gladys has a lazy pedal when depressed it will only come back up half way - i have check the clutch pivot arm all is ok the lever has its spring any clues to what it may be

 

kink in the cable maybe, is the clutch returning all the way? it may need adjustment on the cable

 

Possibly a couple of strands gone especialy if it feels a bit spongey. Otherwise as above

 

sometimes the little 'arm' on the pivot arm spring snaps off, so spring is not ... springing. hard to see, but spring is quite strong so should return peddle back up with a bong.

 

Worth checking the spring at the clutch end, it's a bugger to get off and even worse to get it back on, if its snapped it could be the cause
