Have to agree, laminate will always look like laminate, solid wood is so so much better. Just get some decent non water based glue and stick it down, you'll not regret it. I made the one we have in our lounge about 20 years ago, sealed it with Rustins plastic coating F and despite getting a weekly soaking with sea water (marine fish tank) and the grand kids scraping toys about it's still as good as the day we laid it

The grooves underneath are for floating floor fixing clips (try saying after a few) then it does clip together like laminate n float on an underlay, sorry if any1 has already said this couldn't b bothered reading all the posts
so when they ask you to take a pay cut, they can show you the cctv footage of you bundling it into the back of your motor, looking shady....

We had double our order delivered once I ended up building cupboards, a dinning table, TV/media unit, shelves and about 6 side tables of various sizes. If you have plenty plane the tongue off and use as skirting, will look right good. I still have some left and it's been about 5 yrs.
