Late bay hand brake cable

It's dead simple job I know
But at the moment I am trying to find the clip that holds the rear section of the cable onto the back plate but cannot see one
Is there one or is it just a myth so before I take a hammer and saw to the thing could someone gis a clue please

 

I don't recall one, just a push fit I think think? I had to use mole grips and blow torch to get the old one off

You are correct there is no clip but according to the book
Are well no matter it's off now cheers for that

 

A big pair of mole grips will do the trick...
