the lower cost ones have rounded corners so my guess is that they are made of putty…

Fitted the Lares 209 steering coupler today.


New v Old


OEM has a fair bit of flex


Lares 209 has only a little amount of flex



Managed it all from underneath and didn’t break the Horn return cable

Went for a test drive and there’s a significant improvement to the feel. Horn still works too Bonus

I had a similarly bendy pos originally fitted too. Felt a big improvement!!

 

Good to know they make a difference and can be fitted from underneath, I'll probably fit mine for safetys sake after i pick it up at TE.

 

Then I very much doubt it was OEM.

That’s one of the very poor ones that’s got oem on it

The Lares 209 perhaps is as close to original stock … steering felt great down the A55 to Colwyn Bay
