Lots of pelmetage fitted Plumbing for sink all done Curved worktops done. This the jig I got, half the price of howdens Few passes round the corner Nice finished curve Via a nice ***** up! Managed to split the front face, so glued and cramped it overnight, looks ok now, be fine after a little rub done and it's all oiled
The two curved tops in position Also fabbed up the extension piece for window sill, routed out for joining bolts, and cutout for tap
@Silver I love the window sill idea, it's going to look great, thanks! Just need to oil the worktops and glue/bolt the window sill on, then they can be fixed in place
Thanks. I've been poopin it over the worktops though! couple of little mishaps but overall I'm very happy with them.
glued/bolted my extension on to worktop Started oiling up aswell. Missus loved it Seeing as I only had 2 and half hrs sleep last night I'm chuffed nowt went wrong!
Spent the weekend oiling up, got 4 coats on the sink worktop and 3 on the curvy jobbies so far. Was going to use tung oil but after buying it found out it needed 24 hrs between coats so go Danish oil instead, 4/5 hrs between coats. I'm in a hurry innit. Was oiling in the garden but after a couple of rain emergencys ( it's hard to quickly carry a wet freshly oiled worktop indoors out the rain, only to have nowhere to put it) so had to spend hours clearing crap out the onservatory to do it indoors First led strip wired up under wall unit Had a lidl solder iron in the shed I got years ago and had never used. By the time I'd soldered up the second strip the iron was shagged and I ended up making a boohoo, so will need to redo it grrr
I don't like/am rubbish at delicate soldering on led strips but both cabinet lights on sink side now in
Sink , worktop and tap all fitted, plumbed up wired in leak free , dishwaher finally installed properly too
Thanks, yep I'm very happy with the sill, looks great - much better than a normal raised sill. Excellent idea it was!
