FOR SALE Khyam driveaway awning

  1. I recently purchased a Khyam awning to replace our Reimo awning and was led to believe I would be able to buy an annexe to increase the size so as to accommodate the children and their friends.

It turns out that the annex Khyam sell/sold only fits the “quick erect” awnings and not the ‘Weather Weave 5000 Driveaway Sleeper which as much as it erects quicker than out Reimo is still not the Khyam quick erect system where the poles are fitted to the canvas.

We have only erected the awning on the garden and the previous owner only ever used it once when they went away to Cornwall. The pegs are still shiny and the guide ropes bright illuminous green some even wrapped up as new.

My other half states she does not like the twin pod inner tent as it has no central/dividing wall and she feels our Reimo provides more area.

The section that connects to the van can either be attached with the figure of 8 strip or by a pole with clamps (there are no clamps or figure of 8 strip). There is also a large section that is magnetic and can attach to the roof. The section from the awning to the van appears to be about 1m so should provide room.

As such the Khyam has got to go and I will sell it for what I paid for it which is £200

    Please examine the pictures.

  4. The only issue found by us is that a fibreglass pole appears to be splitting and I am trying to source a replacement.

The camper is in Sheffield S20 5AX

  5. Our Khyam awning split one of the poles and they sent us a new one FOC

  6. Still for sale....and with a new “blue” pole to replace the one that appears to be splitting.

  7. We used the awning over the weekend (first time for us) and it is quite quick to put up and plenty of room within for the family. The wife still isn’t taken with it..... so it’s still for sale.
