can i order a key from the internet if i have a number on the broken key thanks in advance

 

Is it 2 numbers a letter then 3 numbers? If so yes

Ken - may be worth trying the key shop/bike repair shop in rainham village, upminster road south just down from TJs Tattoo. He did mine in an hour after i explained what it was for and only charged me £6 for two copies. My only key had a cm snapped off the end and it took a bit of persuading but he can only say no.

 

As mabel said, local will be cheaper, if they do it, if not custom and commercial or ebay !

 

the guy in rainham builds custom pedal bikes so hes got a bit of a soft spot for anything mechanical. he wouldnt even let me pay for them until i had gone home and tested them both but of course i couldnt do that.

Get in touch with Dave@Dubkeys.com. He cut me 2 keys from just from photos, i only had one knackered key and no code. Excellent service quick reply and cheap. Any problems with vw keys and he is the man to contact.

 

but i only have a code the key is in half

 

on the web sites do they only sell blanks to suit the code

 

He will cut you a key from the code, email him.

 

As said above. Dave seems to be able to sort out pretty much everything locks wise.

 

thats good i can start it but the broken key does the steering lock as someone has put on another ignition, can i disconect the steering lock to stop it coming on
it is easy to drive and forget the other key and it will come on as you turn

 

do you have both halves ? mine was in two bits but he glued it and worked from that.

 

i think i have i will just pop out and look in van

 

if you have, he can only say no. If he says yes then your quids in.
