I went out on a road test earlier this morning and spotted this prototype bay hiding behind a hedge and sat on the edge of a field just wondering if I should go and knock on the door it is a Early 72 Devon
If you don't want to knock and ask you can always post a note with your contact details through the letterbox.
Last time i knocked on a door asking if a bus was for sale the bloke went mental How was i supposed to know ten people had asked that week allready lol poor bloke was steaming from the ears
There is a battered looking T25 near us that has a "Not For Sale" sign in the window. I you don't want people asking you should do something about it.
I saw a bus in the for sale arena at a show once and the sticker in the back window said Sell my bus id rather shove wasps up my a*se Strangely enough i couldent find the owner to offer him the jar of wasps i spent all afternoon collecting
To be fair it would be bloody annoying if you constantly had people knocking on your door trying to buy your van just because you park it outside....
jUST KNOCK ON THE DOOR AND SAY HOW SWEET HIS BUS LOOKS AND TAKE IT FROM THERE. THEN YOU BUILD UP A REPOR WITH THEM,THEN YOU CAN ASK IF ITS FOR SALE. . . . OOPPS CAPS locked lol
I really don't get it. You don't go around knocking on people's doors because there's an old fiesta on the drive so why a bus? If you've noticed it's not moved for years then fair enough but you've only just seen it.
Go and knock with the intention of pointing them towards here, if its for sale then you can make an offer, if its not then you may have helped the owners to find a site that can be helpful to them.
To be fair I saw it about 2 years ago parked in the same place as it looked really rough, And then it disappeared for about a year and then I started back at the same place again and went out on a road test and saw it again, I am not really in a position to buy another one and was going to point them towards here and prototype bay but I was talking to the lads at work and they know the owner
