Just Kampers Insurance 'Price promise'

  1. JK promise they'll 'give you £20 if we are not the cheapest'. They won't so save yourself time and don't bother.

    I recently contacted them with competitive quotes from both Sureterm and Footman James and asked them is they could do better. Same terms, cover you understand. They couldn't. I asked if I qualified for the £20 'price promise' and they said yes. Just send in documentary proof when I receive it and they'll sort it out.

    I even rang HIC the next day (not knowing they were one and the same) who said pretty much the same thing.

    So I took out the most competitive policy (as advised by both JK & HIC), sent them all the documentation as proof and suddenly I received a quote for £3 cheaper than the one I had already bought and paid for. Therefore not qualifying for the 'price promise'.

    I've asked for an explanation but have heard nothing. It's outrageous.

  3. I did I'm afraid. Then again if a broker uses it as an incentive to try them I'd expect them to honour it. I'm old fashioned like that.

    Isn't there an ombudsman that monitors insurance companies, I'd be giving them a call for a chat!

    If you're that outraged by it, call and speak to Josh. He's the one who shows most interest in providing good customer services so I'm sure he'll sort it for you.
    You can call the FSA, but they'll only get involved once you've exhausted the business' complaints procedure so you'll be wasting your time.

    Edit: I'd get in quick though. As JK have now joined with Status, anyone with Customer Services issues may have to join a fairly long queue! (allegedly)

  10. It's definitely making me think twice. Pity I've got a fair few vouchers for them...
     
  11. I try not to comment on the JK thing but what I will say is why does Josh need to keep sorting/apologising too so many people in such a small pond! How many more are outside this forum!

    Status had lots of issues and was small its been swallowed by something bigger with lots of problems!

    Enough said!
