  1. Hi, has anyone fitted Just Kampers Heat exchangers on their van? Did they fit ok? I don't think mine fit properly.

  2. In what way do they not fit properly?

Sadly we live in a world where nothing is quality assured. I interpret the term " german quality " to mean a pile of excrement.
Ive just wasted two whole days of my life i wont ever get back fitting a door latch cable , non genuine vw , that turmed out to be 3,mm to short thus not allowing door catch to reset, and unable to open door once closed , causing frustration and damage to the door panel to open the door . Who suffers the concequences of bad quality , us the end purchaser if not for the fact its an amazon purchase and so it a loss to the retailer but two wasted days to me plus a third day repairing , through necessity the original cable .

If they are T1 heat exchangers the trick is to assemble all the pipework then tighten up the cylinder head stud nuts. And to be fair to JK the aftermarket heat exchangers are the same ones you get everywhere.

At least with a heat exchangers its a simple bent pipe in principle. A lot of welded together exhaust systems are likely to be a bit warped as welding causes stresses that bend the metal..

If you ever try to fit a cheap 4 into 1 EMPI header then you may well end up realising how well those heat exchangers actually fit compared with what could be.
