Meet Martha, Arthur's new little sister:-








She's a 2l petrol with added spoiler, sunroof and - oh the sheer luxury - heated seats.

She's for Pascale to learn to drive in, but happily that's not until November so I will be claiming her until then ;D

Just the small matter of the 5 hour trip to Hampshire to pick her up.... :

have fun with the crap mpg, and the array of christmas tree lighting on the dash showing intermittent fault codes....... www.evvo.co.uk is the forum you'll need, and a vagcom from e-bay to tell you what sensor has gone this week...... i don't look anymore the dash looks bright at night though.

Fetched Martha home from Southampton to Yorkshire today...I swear I smiled every mile of the way (well, maybe not so much when the rozzer waved his big camera at me )

Pascale adores her so much already (she will be hers when P learns to drive) that she VOLUNTARILY washed, waxed, hoovered and polished her!

Go on Lord Charles Sir Lord Sir, send the staff out to purchase you one ;D

 

The wife does miss her beetle but no room for a push chair unless you take it apart then build it when you get it out the boot

 

yeah you're all forgetting the grief i got for mine...you'll all be in one soon - then the revolution begins...... we have heaters....join us!

 

But they're the beetle equivalent of those bays with plastic splitty fronts. lol

The one we have, built 47 years ago does better mpg... And it looks better...and the heaters work... and only two warning lights - the electrics broken or the engines knackered.
