As title, a quick thanks to all on here who offered advice and parts to help me sort out my Bus. I'm back on the road, albeit just running around locally at present in case any other issues come up! Steve and David from "VW Retro Restorations" nr. Knightwick in Worcestershire eventually sorted the problem/s and I would heartily recommended them. Wires in the wrong place, some missing and a possibility that someone has tried to hot wire it while we were away, way back in Jan. Can't really see any other explanation for what was found in the end - so engine lid lock now needed!
