  1. Afternoon

Just went to go for a drive and found that the van had a dead battery. So in the morning im going to jump start it then drive to work. My question is how long of a drive does it take for the battery to have enough charge to get her going her going again? Work is about 40 minutes away.

    Cheers

  2. Depends on how efficient your charging system is and what your running whilst your driving, lights and radio on will not leave much to quickly fill the battery, especially if your trying to fill your leisure battery at the same time!

I would leave it on charge overnight then see if it starts in the morning!

  3. If your alternator's in good nick, 40 mins should be fine. The peril of letting the battery run down is that they can become reluctant to hold charge.
