Ok. A lie. In Croydon we were not snowed in but it was cold so idle hands set to work and finished 2 projects while resurrecting 3 old ones dating back 6 years. Engine build. No leaks yet. Creating my old Alfasud from a Sr1 Ti shell and Sr3 hatchback parts. And one of those projects. Before I start sticking it all together (Lime74 and Paradox will be happy with the mods) I was going to paint it metallic blue but I just don't like buses in metallic colours. So what would you suggest?? I'm already turning one into an jaffa panel van.
How strange i dug this out of storage today to see if all the bits are still there It was my dads but hed half finished it and put it to one side before he died so im going to finish it off
How come there was never a Bay model kit made then? I've seen the splits and t25s but not a bay. I've got one of the build your own ones but it's an eArly. They got this one a bit mixed up I think! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Camper-Van-Metal-Build-Your-Own-Kit-1-24-/150890675601
i think the airfix type companys should do what lego do and ask for idea's , i bet a bay would come top of the list !
Top thing to do Birdy, I am hoping to be snowed in tomorrow so i cant get to school (we got about 6 inches on the farm here outside Sheffield) if i can get out in the land rover today i will see if any local shops have model kits - i think one in Heeley may do. Is it super therapeutic? As both my vans are being repaired at the mo I think I maybe should have just stuck with models! Birdy, I like the Alfas, I had a couple of Alfasud Sprints and your red one looks a bit sprint-ish from the photo
The red one is a Ti sedan. Minichamps do a sprint but I've never been taken by them unlike the Sud Ti. And with regards to the bay model I did e mail Welly who make a really decent early bus in 1/24 scale to consider a late bay model too. I even went as far as to produce production dates stating that more lates were built meaning there will be more people out there wanting that model
