I fainted Saturday night, have a huge bump on the side of my head, banged the end of my nose which feels extremely tender and my top row of teeth were bleeding when I hit the sink and bathside. No idea what happened, came round in the corner of the bathroom feeling clammy and hot!
This has never happened before

  5. Ah, headbangers neck. I remember those days. After a while (and some serious neck damage!) I realised it was better to swing from the body, not neck. Or just wear a stupid hat and let that do the rocking for you with miniumum effort :hattip:. Wow, there's even a smiley for that on here!

  6. I got Whipslash at a Slayer gig at Brixton Academy - the chap in front of me had ridiculously long hair which he swung around like Tom Araya and slashed my face with his whippy hair :(

  7. Ravers knee. From too much dancing. Age catching up.

  8. Whiplash and ringing in the ears used to be my measure of a good gig... (yes I know about hearing damage etc etc)
Don't go to enough gigs these days :(

I concur.......You "knew" it was a good gig if your lugs whistled for a few days afterwards, especially those small gigs where you'd stand right next to the PA :D

  11. hey, J.Tatty, soooo correct ! stood right up against a speaker at a Walter Trout gig ,years ago and was 100% deff on leaving gig ,and remained so 4 a couple of days ,was worth it thou(thou ears are done from way to much of same !)

  12. Do you resemble batman?!? I did after my last metal gig.

  13. What Wispy said! I figured the side to side movement in my late teens. It saved many a sore neck!

I also remember the bruised ribs from being crushed against the barrier and the general moshpit associated bruises. Oh, and a poke in the eye at a Pantera gig in Brixton! :)
