I've decided to buy a new Beetle

I'm going to get one, hopefully the end of this month.
I used to work for Ford & had 6 brand new Escorts in a row, since then I've always bought second hand. My current car is a 52 plate 1.9TDI 140 Sport Passat saloon, its a great car & is awesome on fuel but there is always water in the back driver footwell. I've tried everything to fix it but no joy, so it has to go.
I've decided I want a white Beetle brand new, The Turbo Black & Turbo Silver are only available in petrol so they are out.
Its either going to be the Sport or the Design.
+ points of the design:-
1.) I love the wheels better than any others,
2.) It comes in a 1.6 TDI (cheap tax)
Bad points:-
1.) Less spec than sport.
2.) Wheels are 17"

+points of the Sport
1.) Wheels are 18"
2.) More spec
3.) Sport seats
Bad points:-
1.) Bigger 2.0 TDI 140 (expensive tax)

The Design is cheaper but when I add all the extras it is more than the Sport with all the extras, basically I'd like the Sport but with the 1.6 TDI & the design wheels.
What do you all think of the new Beetle?

I like them, if I was in the market for a "modern" car they'd be on my list.

 

Seen a couple - there was one at Crich the other weekend - like them

 

I agree get a golf
If you want a beetle get a real one.

 

Do they do these for men?

I'd get a Golf GTI instead. Or a tip top older one.

id wait 6 months then by a used one ...
