I had a mission to look for parts for a member (who's touring the States) & I posted on a few different sites and got a response from a guy (John) tell me he has some parts for buses ......OK? (3 day before said member is returning to England) We make plans to meet up & I can look at his parts (1st try) well we get a little storm....... This all happened in less than a half hour The 2nd time we were going to meet up- I get hit on my motorcycle (well it's my wife's) had to cancel--AGAIN! finally got to meet up yesterday Met him at one of his rental houses & there is 2 fairly good size 2 car garages packed full of V.W parts!!!!! he bought one of the U.S's V.W part suppliers/shop he bought 14 (yes fourteen) 24ft truck loads! I walk in the bigger garage & nirvana!! parts stacked 6ft (2 meters) high! I walk over the smaller garage & it's only stacked 3-4ft high (a meter or so) I wanted to take picture of all the parts. But didn't want him to think I was casing the place (nick anything) I sent an hour just looking at pile after pile! made plans to meet up when the weather is better {starting to storm again & it was 91-95 degrees} yeah it was mixed between N.O.S bug, bus & newer V.W car parts. he owns & drives a 64 Bus, 66 Karmann Ghia convertible, and 3 bugs 57/61/68..
I try to stay away from the Samba & bug groups, maybe I shouldn't be so prejudges against them? here's a picture of Willow & Lizzy.
I was thinking if I had the money to buy a cargo container & ship - I could make a killing in England
