So I phoned elite vw this morning about my seized engine and although you could argue I should have the hump with them as its their engine that blew and led to the flying boat fiasco, but I just want to get the bus sorted so I can use it and put this week end behind me, anyway I phoned them earlier and without a blink on an eyelid they offered to pick the van up, repair the engine and deliver it back to me. I explained that the van need to be with me for the insurance but I have taken the engine out, which I will take to them tomorrow, they said they will fix it and deliver it back. Pretty good service if you ask me? For a budget engine build (although it did blow) I am really impressed that they did not hide behind warranty small print and all that. I will let you know how it all goes but hopfully things are looking up for me and I might as well fix the fuel gauge sender, petrol tank pipes and gear rod couplings whilst its out. Silver linings and all that. Peace
Oh I did notice damage to the actual van but i'm getting into the swing of all this disappointment so I will just claim and see what happens
nice one mate, would be a pity to loose faith in the old girl as she looks so sexy on sitting on her new rims
proper geezers mate, don't ***** them about and you get the same in return. He also commented on the nasty 1700 engine I threw in to the deal to get my engine sorted and appreciated the fact that it helped another bay get on the road
