There was me happily totting up a big pile of stuff around £1000 worth of panels to buy from Schofields or JK if Schofields didnt do it, then the sun rose on the back garden. So instead I ordered about £900 worth of fencing supplies. All of the bodged bits and the bits held up by rose bushes and small trees decided to break loose last night. The bus is going to get some bits of washing machine panel welded over the gaping holes in the deformation panel ...
It blew one of our garden chairs over! To be fair, it is a pretty hefty metal chair. The plastic ones were fine, but were in the lee of the house unlike the metal chair. I think we got off lightly
I left a bag of old wrapping paper on the decking, it moved 8 ft across the decking., next door lost 4 fence panels, their fake grass all ended in a heap, their shed lost its felt and kids play house up ended. Strange
A bit breezy last night oop North, I always sleep well when the rains smashing into the boat and it's blowing about a bit. Crew says the same so we look forward to such nights.
Was a bit windy here but the shed is still standing and the lights are in the outside tree. I will go and see if neighbours dodgy fence panel has remained intact. that’s a bummer @mikedjames
More like its an acre smaller.. Strangely at Blackgang Chine about 10 years baxck, I was sitting there waiting for the kids to go round an attraction, and wondered why my 2G mobile was indicating roaming. And it had .. roamed onto Bouyges Telecom (France) .. (there are special long range cell base stations both sides of the Channel or La Manche as we should call it :-/ that cover the path of the car ferries from Portsmouth to Caen. )
It's ALWAYS a bit breezy at Grange Farm, it's the only campsite we've been to that has storm shelters dotted around
Of the 8 people in front of me in the queue at B&Q, 5 had roofing felt, and one had some feather edge fencing. It was on the windy and very rainy side here in that South Wales. Today though, glorious.
A tree down across the road outside my house (luckily belonging to the neighbour.... although a chainsaw buzzing at 7.30 this morning was maybe not so lucky) Another one fallen over a bit further down the road. My TV aerial connector box, which in fairness has been flapping around not attached to the mast for a couple of years, was smashed on the ground next to my car this morning.... but luckily not through the windscreen! ...No terrestrial TV for me until I can be bothered to climb up on the roof and repair it.... probably that’ll be quite a while, then!
It was windy down in East Boldre I had drank more than enough Gin and by the time I woke up It was calm
