    Hi JLB

I'd guess the location thing is on Hort's list of things still todo with moving us to the new server. As for cookies I just eat them and worry about the weight later.

  6. For a start many users place their location miles away, if not in a different country. Solely because they don't want to advertise where their buses are.

Secondly, why on earth do you have a problem with cookies? They are not 'trackers' they are a small text file stored both on your machine and on the websites machine to 'remember' your log in details and as such to make browsing easier. If you researched into it a little bit you would realise that no personal details are retained and you can't be 'tracked' via them.

Thirdly, welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy your stay, even if it may be brief.

They're coming man, they're coming. They can see into your brain, read your thoughts.

The only way to stop them is to put on a tinfoil hat and drink VW engine oil.

I just need to know what the correct engine oil is... ;)

Haha, good answers, it's new software, there are kinks to be ironed out and in time they will be, in the mean time, nothing Is being taken off your computer, you download no software and sign over no permissions by being on here, just take it for what it is and enjoy it. All will be fine x

I know not everyone is a fan of FB and Twitter but like body rock says they aren't tracking you and if you're not logged on FB or Twitter then there is nothing to track anyway.

I imagine you know but you can set up your browser not to accept any cookies at all.

The location thing is a bit of a pain agreed; something we'll have sorted soon I hope.

No one else seems to have a problem, the guys setting the new look forum up are doing there damnedest to please everyone, which they may or may not do. Give them a break & if you don't like Facebook or twitter, steer clear...simples innit!!

Enjoy the forum for what it is, we are not being watched by big brother he has bigger fish to fry :)

  12. I would say there are far more important things to worry about than the cookies left behind on my pc. If some sad *****s want my useless info then bully for them. Concentrate on the good Marmite in life dude. Like when you gonna drive the bus.

  13. I love the fact that if we are bing watched by big brother all he gets is VW related gripes and the usual round of waffle and silliness, good luck trying to work it all out, BTW what oil should I use and will it be dry this cmperjam? :D

  16. Cookies should be kept to an absolute minimum and certainly nothing from third parties. They do track what you are doing as well - if my Mrs goes on my laptop and looks at clothes, those are the ads that pop up when I am browsing the normal blokey sites, so it's definitely not random. Paranoid? Maybe, but I don't think we should be watched like that.

  17. That'll be google logging your searches. Log out of google and/or turn off personalised ad's in the google settings.
