I think you’ll find that is the bone of contention which entitles her to legal aid.

Funny old world when you think about it isn’t it?

    You're right, it is.
    Shouldn't be though imho.

    The irony of it all.

She gets legal aid because she was a British citizen to fight having her citizenship revoked because she went away to support people who killed and hated us and our way of life. Now she wants to come back to this safe secure and great country?

When are these stupid servile indoctrinated idiots going learn we don’t want their hatred here?

  5. The issue for me with Corbyn is not that she has the right or not to claim legal aid but the fact that he came out in support as a leader of a party or and mp for that matter it’s not up to them to make the decision it’s the courts that do that. He could of kept his mouth shut and just said it for the law of the land to decide which it is but now he comes out and what ever way you look at it defends her rights has he has with many terrorists in the past can’t stand the man and I’ve been bought up a labour voter and have always voted for them but never again whilst he is there rant over as you were lol.

  6. Right or wrong, he’s one of the few politicians who’s not afraid to say what he believes.

He just can't help himself. Hes a terrorist sympathiser through and through.

  8. Well, I suppose we either put up with rights or we don't. Do we really want to be part of a society that can strip someone of citizenship without recourse to the courts?

I’ve got no issue at all with her having her day in court. I’ve got an issue with paying for it though.

  10. If that were the case i would at least admire him for it and up until he became leader he did but he has never been in favour of the eu and has spoken out against them but now he won't go for a second referendum because of all the votes he will lose and he won't go for leaving because of all the MP's he will lose as his party are mainly remain so instead of speaking up for what he believes he is playing a gain to get the keys to number 10 for his own gain and just proving he is as slimy and self centre as the other 620 odd in the house.

Wasn’t it parliament that revoked her citizenship that caused this in the first place, or was it solely the Home Secretary’s decision?

What is a terrorist sympathiser, and why is he one?

    Genuine question btw!

  20. A lot of the accusations stem from this. He denied ever meeting or supporting the IRA when he became leader. But he was arrested in 1986 taking part in a protest by IRA sympathisers outside the Old Bailey to “show solidarity” with accused terrorists including the Brighton bomber. Awkward!
He’s got a lot of history with the IRA that’s he’s trying to minimise now.
Was that support and contact a fair and genuine bid to find lasting peace? That’s for you to decide.

Most recently there was the trip to lay a wreath at the Palestinian martyrs’ cemetery in Tunisia, ostensibly to commemorate a bombing there in the 80s. However it was alleged he laid a wreath on the graves of individuals linked to the Black September terror group - those who killed 11 people in the Munich Olympics massacre of 1972. He claims he was laying a wreath ‘for everybody’ killed in terrorist attacks.
Then pictures emerged of him holding the wreath 15 yards from the terrorists’s plaque. And then a remarkably similar wreath lying on it. He then said “I was present at that wreath-laying, I don’t think I was actually involved in it.” He’s wriggled and dissembled ever since about exactly what he did.
Was he or wasn’t he showing respect to terrorists? Up to you to decide.

I think what is clear is that he isn’t very bright. He has good ideas, many of which I would support. But if he thinks his magnetic attraction to dodgy “freedom fighter” groups (discuss: when is a freedom fighter a terrorist?!) is going to get him elected then he’s the wrong kind of ideologue. The right kind is the one that gets elected and puts them into place fairly and with intelligent balance.
At worst he is indeed a terrorist sympathiser. At best he is naive to keep showing up at these kinds of events then complaining he’s being misunderstood.
For instance, he’s right about Begim’s right to legal aid. But like @Ian Jones says, why bleat about it when it’s nothing to do with him and simply adds to the list of things that make him seem on the terrorists’ side.
Wise up man, if you want to get elected. But he just can’t help himself.

But (lights blue touch paper and runs away) if it ever came down to a straight fight between him and that moron Mark Francois (or Farage. Or Mogg) I know who I’d go for. Jeez, is that oaf really of the calibre you’d hope for in an MP?
