Hi all So far we have been to Lynton and been on the cliff railway. Lovely place. Been to Bude. It rained solid for two days. Some good food but little to do. Then to padstow. Rick stein had to much of my money but it was fab. Then to st Ives. A little more to see during the day but not overly impressed with the food. Then to st michaels mount. I can't wait to move on. Naff all here after the castle. Now what about Henry's? I'm not sure what if anything there is in lizard? Is Henry's a little odd? Cheers Craig
yes we love it and popped in yesterday to show some friends the only down sides is it is a little small if you have large awnings in some pitches the toilets / showers / washing up areas etc are very basic if it's windy anywhere then it is on the Lizard we love it but it is a required taste
i guess it's just the wild ruggedness of the area and the large jungle style plants and rocks plus the quirkiness of the site and buildings like i said we love it but i do know people that were very disappointed in the site not being like a 5 star hotel
Is it in the middle of nowhere? So far we have been around 1 mile from the main areas of town so we can walk to the pubs etc. We are on one at the minute in st micheals which charges 50p to use the most horrid showers!!
Yeah this ^ and it can be a little cramped but the owners are great and they love Vdubs, some brilliant little coves and beaches nearby within walking distance
do phone first as they are often fully booked although there were a few spaces yesterday if your staying there tomorrow evening pop down to the lifeboat house for around 6:30 as it's there training night and you can watch the boat go down the slip
Had a really good time at lizard, and Henry's . Well worth a visit. The food at the witch ball was very good for pub grub.
Is she the mature women pouring lashings of Saxo table salt on the pasties???? I watched her, it was a crazy amount of salt!! I love salt. The wife goes mental at me about the amount of salt I use!
