Is a rusted hole in the rear drum backing plate an MOT failure?

jolly good , well new back plates might be needed then maybe

 

And cos of you shiny smooth bonce

 

This is the state of mine, which has prompted me to change on, the other side seems ok.



Then I looked at the other side:



Are these things double skinned - mine seems to be - in any event, it's holed through both skins for a couple of cm's.

 

mmm yeh they are pretty bad .
