The insurance on the crew cab is due on the 25th January.

My daughter is 19 (soon to be 20) and is desperate to be able drive the crewie to Volksworld in March.

Has anyone got any experience or a recommendation for insurance cover with a younger named driver ?

She has been driving since 17 and has a full no claims history.

    Thanks.

I tried adding a 19 year old to my bay insurance a few years back and was told no they can’t go on classic until they’re 25. I then tried elsewhere and the cost was prohibitive. He actually took out his own insurance on a 72 bug that same year with Adrian flux and it was less than £600.

    insurance companies baffle me

  3. Might be easier to get daily insurance cover. I used Day Insure/DAS to pick up my panel van in November - they insured me via Aviva with personal injury etc for £34.02 for 24 hours.

  4. Yes try getting a quote for just the day but many companies won’t touch adding anyone under 24.
Try this lot, Marmalade specialises in young people and ‘gap’ insurance.

  5. Classicline can insure younger drivers provided they have been driving for at least 12 months and have their own car. If you'd like to give me a call (my name is Christian) on 01455 639000 and we will see what we can do.
