So, I've lived in the Uk for three years and have had a full uk license for 2. I'm originally from the US and have held a full american drivers license for 10 years. My problem is when i went to insure my recently purchased camper they would only give me quote based on driving for 2 years and came through at around 850 a year!!! I went to the justkampers insurance page and they came back with a quote from highway insurance? Now I feel like im being robbed so I sorn'd the bus as i'll be away for most of january anyway so I can buy some time to figure it out. Does anybody have any advice or experience with something like this because shelling out over a grand on just tax and insurance before even getting on the road every year is going to be a real killer. Thanks in advance for any advice available.
just kampers is a broker as are many, i would ring and speak to peter james and cherished insurance (both brokers too but they know their stuff) sometimes talking to them will help, they will at least give an unbiased view.
