Install Solar Panel into ZIG

Hi guys,

i've recently been bought a Sealey SPP03 Solar Power Panel 4.8W. if comes with a cig lighter connector and croc clips.

Having said that, i was wondering whether it would be possible to somehow connect it to my CF8 ZIG UNIT?

has anyone done this or knows what i have to do to connect it and charge the both batteries

You can connect it anywhere in the battery line so where the battery connects to the zig will be fine.


You may find it doesn't do much good through at 4.8w might just keep you phone topped up and thats as long as you don't use it.

 

i've just done the maths....wont charge it much lol

if my fridge draws 4amps when on, then thats 48W lol

 

i've got a 13w one and thats a waste of space

 

i find that although it doesn't put many amps back into the battery it does help keep the voltage up
