Hello All I have got a 76 Devon with the worst seat belts ever! I seem to recall with my previous Bay I had inertia seat belts that may actually work. Has any one got any recommendations as to where is the best place to purchase them, and do they need adapting? Thanks in anticipation
I got mine from e-bay they are bus specific ones and made by securon or something. They work great and long enough to allow you to lean forward.
Same here - Securon ebay one's with all the right fittings to replace the old fixed one's. £24 each and they seem to be the same as the one's sold by JK etc for more £ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Securon-Seat-Belt-500-45-Lap-Diagonal-Belt-x1-
What about inertia for the rear seat? I have the threaded hole ready by the right side of the rear seat. Is it possible to fit inertia seatbelts on the left too? I have the helsinki layout with the full width bed.
you'll have to poke around to see if you have a seat belt mounting anchor on the left side of the rear seat bulkhead, and an anchor in the swage line under the rear quarter window....mine's got them on either side, as it was a microbus conversion...
Mine has it on the left side, got threads and all but on the right side its just a hole? Not sure if there are threads, give me a sec i will check
Just had a better look and i have threaded holes on both sides,do i just order 2 sets of inertia seatbelts for the rear?
Ok,do i need these or can i just mount my inertia reels under the RR bed in the mountings of the original lap belts?
you can mount them under the bed etc, but they are not a perfect solution but the do work, the top mount is a little low too
Ok,are they inertia reel belts left hand or right hand side specific? Like if i order inertia belts for rear will i need to get a left side one and a right hand side one?
Ok so the ones on justkampers are good? I would need 2 of these right? http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t2-ba...-seatbelt-with-extender-for-t2-1950-1979.html
