Sent off all the paperwork to register a Triumph Tiger Cub I rescued from a shed last year expecting to wait weeks for a letter saying it had to be inspected then wait longer for the inspection and possible endless discussion about its authenticity etc. 5 days after posting the paperwork off I revive a new V5c with age related number!! So I rang them to say thanks and had a decent chat with someone who appeared fairly knowledgable re: older vehicles. He said they had listened to classic owners who were fed up with the system and simplified things ( and made it cheaper for them!) to just pick random application to inspect! Mind you today I received a second identical V5c in the post so not all gremlins sorted yet.....
